JGEN started as a home for my personal genealogy in 2006. At first, it consisted of only simple charts. This section has been expanded to include stories, photos and obituaries. If you find your family here, please write!

The site also includes JLog, an extensive collection of simple computer tips, tools and how-to’s for genealogists. A great deal of the content will suit computer users of any ilk. The content is purposely inclined toward people looking for simple instruction. The pages are filled with large images for clarity.

JLiki describes a simple method for compiling and sharing your personal genealogy using a single html file and linking to other documents. This is not a replacement for your genealogy database but a flexible format to bring your family history together. This is suitable for sharing back and forth, and for genealogy gifts, large or small.  JLikiPlugins offers enhancements to the basic format.

More recently Records Search has also been added; a compilation of several dozen subscription databases and their descriptions (and, where available, search boxes) all conveniently located in one place.
