Sometimes … well, ok, most of the time … my mind is ticking away on 20 to 30 different plans, problems, ideas and possible solutions. I don’t know how a mind can handle that simultaneously but mine does. If another useful thought whizzes by I have to snatch it in a nano-second or it’s gone. If this sounds familiar, enter the lowly post-it note.

Before there was Passage Express I could not imagine organizing so many files and types of files for presentation.
Then, in the middle of the night it came to me. I would create Descendants Book reports in pdf and attach other files in the margin. This way a reader could take a side-trip to look at maps, photos, slideshows, related stories, or even listen to me talk, and then come back to the main body of work without getting lost.

We all know the old Windows clipboard routine. Copy, paste, copy, paste. Copy one item, paste it somewhere else, then go back for the next one.
A clipboard extender can carry multiple clips and save you having to carry them from place to place one at a time. You can copy, copy, copy all day long and the clips live in the clipboard extender forever unless you delete them, or enough time passes.

I’m sure anyone who’s editing photos already has their favorite photo editor. Personally, I can’t live without Adobe Element’s healing brush so that’s it for me. I can walk right past an unwashed person on the sidewalk, but if I see a scratch on an old photograph I have to stop and fix it.

This is another one of those very simple things that I only noticed when I was desperate. If you’re needing to search web pages or, say, verify a long list of names against one of those online family charts that scrolls on forever, this is a very handy thing to use.
