Has it really been only 8 days since I was here? It feels like years. I guess it was that big good-bye speech.
Well, things are going along pretty well at the college. The students are a serious bunch but they’re being trained to be that way. Upright and dignified and stand-offish. This is the college that comes after regular college, a finishing school for professionalism. I’ve decided it’s my responsibility to be the wildcard & loose cannon in the building. But only because it comes naturally.
The other thing I did this week was sign up for a year-long course online. I guess it’s all that school-energy going around. Me too, me too, I wanna go to school. So if I’m not working at the school, I’m going to school and working. I can’t tell you what it’s about because then I’d have to break my code of near-total obscurity about who I am and where I live and what I do, and whether I’m married and if I have kids and all those questions that people really care about.
