LOUGHEAD

Col. James Loughead was born about 1730 as his parents’ ship entered the Capes of Delaware. The Lougheads are from Scotland and initially settled in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

The McDowell and Dunwoody lines have been primarily compiled by John McDowell Morris.
